This is the rubric for the Project of the countries.

You are going to do a project about an English speaking country. You will present the project in a power point presentation. In the project you will include different categories:
  • Location of the country, capital, flag and currency and the president
  • Famous or interesting places to visit
  • Typical food
  • Famous people from that country (writers, singers, actors, sport people, etc.)

LITERARY CHARACTERS

GUIDELINE FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THE LITERARY CHARACTERS

  1. Look for a partner to work with

  2. Choose a literary character from the British or American literature, example of writers could be: William Shakespeare, Jame Austen, Arthur Conan Doyle, J. K. Rowling, Charles Dickens, etc.

  3. Presentation:
    1. Introduce your character: name, novel where he/she appears, year of the novel
    2. Talk about the writer: when did he/she live? Talk about the period of history, how many books did he/she write, what is his / her style.
    3. Talk about the novel: what is the novel about.
    4. Why did you choose this character and what have you learnt.
Remeber: the presentation is oral and without written support because it is part of the oral exam.

1 What happened to the signal man in the tunnel?
He thought that he saw a ghost

2 what did the signal man study?
The signal man studied Math and French

 3 Where is the place of the of the accident?
The accident happened in the south of England

4 What did the doctor do when he knew about the accident?
The doctor visited the place of the accident

5 Who was the signal man?
He was the person who told the doctor about the accident

6 How was the signal man when the doctor came?
The signal man was nervous because he saw a ghost

7 What happened when the signal saw the ghost?
There was a train accident

CHAPTER 3

8 When did the doctor visit the signal man?
The doctor visited the signal man everyday

9 What happened when the ghost appeared?
The bell rang

10 What did the doctor decide?
He decided to call his colleague so he could see the signal man

CHAPTER 4

11 How many people died in the accident?
Eight people died in the accident and 20 injured

12 What happened at the end to the signal man?
He died due to a train accident.

What do I have to do for the project with songs?

  1. Introduction: in which you will talk about:
    • The title of the song
    • The singer or group
    • the year and the album
    • what is the song about?
2. Create an exercise with the song for the rest of the class. You should know the vocabulary and the grammar that is presented in the song.
  • You are the one who has to correct the activity and answer the questions that might appear.
